These terms apply to all purchases made from Collars & Fluffs, whether in person at events or online at collarsandfluffs.co.uk. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
Collars & Fluffs is a small independent business trading under the name “Collars & Fluffs”. All products are handmade to order by Fern, a young entrepreneur based in Shropshire, UK.
1. Made to Order
All collars, leads, and other products are handmade to order and personalised to your specifications (colour, size, and any other details provided). Production begins once your order is confirmed and payment has been received.
Because every item is made specifically for your dog, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges except in the circumstances set out in section 4 below.
2. Sizing & Measurements
You are responsible for providing accurate measurements for your dog’s neck size. We recommend measuring loosely around your dog’s neck where the collar will sit, then adding 2cm for comfort.
If you provide an incorrect measurement, we cannot be held responsible for the resulting fit. We will do our best to assist but cannot guarantee a replacement at no cost if the measurement provided was inaccurate.

3. Lead Times
Our standard lead time is 14-21 working days from receipt of all required information (including neck size if not provided at the time of ordering). We will contact you if there is likely to be a delay.
Lead times may be longer during busy periods such as around Christmas or following events. We will always communicate any delays as early as possible.
4. Returns & Exchanges
As all items are made to order and personalised, we do not offer returns or exchanges unless:
- The item arrives damaged or faulty
- The item is significantly different from what was ordered
- We made an error in the sizing or colour
If you believe your order has an error or fault, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it with photos and a description of the issue. We will do our best to resolve it promptly.
This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5. Safety & Liability
Our collars and leads are handmade from 550 paracord and are intended for general everyday use with dogs. Please read the following carefully:
- No collar or lead should be used as the sole means of restraining a dog in situations where escape could cause harm to the dog or others.
- Our products are not suitable for use with tie-out stakes, dog runs, or any situation where the dog may lunge or apply sustained force.
- Collars should be checked regularly for wear and replaced if they show signs of damage.
- A collar that fits correctly should allow two fingers between the collar and the dog’s neck. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the collar is fitted correctly.
- We strongly recommend that dogs always wear identification tags and are microchipped as required by law.
Collars & Fluffs shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to any person, animal, or property arising from the use or misuse of our products, including but not limited to a dog escaping due to collar or lead failure.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
6. Other Products
From time to time we may sell other items such as lanyards, keyrings, or accessories. These items are also handmade and subject to the same terms unless otherwise stated at the point of sale. Some items may not be made to order and may be eligible for return — this will be clearly indicated when purchasing.
7. Payment
Payment is required in full before or at the time of ordering. For in-person orders at events, payment is collected via Sum.up card reader. For online orders, payment is processed securely through our website.
